In a ceremony marked by a traditional lion dance, Murdoch Singapore opened its new offices on Monday 7 October.
Located within the same building as the new Murdoch-Kaplan city campus (to be completed in January 2025), this new space will serve as a hub for students, researchers, alumni and stakeholders alike.
The new building is located in a prime area of Singapore, opposite the iconic Raffles Hotel.
We were honoured to have Deputy Vice Chancellor Global Engagement Professor Simon McKirdy officially open the new premises. Professor McKirdy remarked that the launch of the new premises comes at a special time as we celebrate Murdoch’s 50th anniversary, 25 years of the university operating in Singapore, and the upcoming 60th anniversary of Singapore-Australia diplomatic ties.
Professor Peter Waring remarked, “We have come a long way from our humble beginnings, and this new office marks a significant milestone in Murdoch University’s engagement in Singapore”.
