Public Sector Commission of Western Australia
This is a unique national post-graduate management / leadership program for mid-level managers from across Commonwealth, State, Territory and Local Government. Delivery commenced early in 2013 and prior to that many months of planning and design took place in a collaborative, co-creation environment.
The program has three cohort intakes per year with each cohort consisting of approximately 25 participants. The program structure allowed participants to complete the required coursework in approximately 12 months.
Two main areas of focus for presenters were:
- Facilitation; and
- Preparation and development of appropriate, engaging presentation material
Action learning methodology was used, particularly through the workplace project along with collaboration, group learning and other interactive learning methods. Sessions were also provided on study techniques, assessment and academic requirements and academic writing and referencing skills.
