Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry won a Royalties for Regions grant to help build management and leadership capacity for SMEs in this region. To fulfil this requirement, Murdoch University EEC has been delivering programs to this client for managers of the region’s SMEs over the past four years and continues to do so today. Programs delivered currently are the six-day Management Masterclass Program, a two-day Finance for Non Finance Managers Program and a Conflict Management Program.
Murdoch University Faculty designs and delivers these programs annually and participants come from a range of industries in the PEEL region.
The Masterclass program covers best management practice, leadership as an act of courage and how learning can be tailored or take place by inquiry in today’s fast paced PEEL Region. Strategy was explored as a structure through an understanding of boundaries, and by looking at how employers and employees value organisations. The Learning Application Proposals, (LAPs) will be used to consolidate the concepts that individuals have come across, to see how they fit with leadership experiences/challenges, ensuring the next step in growth or product development.
