Dr Eunice TAN

Eunice is a Lecturer in Tourism at Murdoch University, Singapore Office. Eunice has been teaching in the Murdoch Tourism Program since 2011, initially as an Affiliate and joining the School of Arts tourism team full time in 2016 after completing her Doctor of Hotel and Tourism Management. She also holds a Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management and a Master of Arts in Communications Management. Eunice has been teaching tourism, hospitality and management since 2004, and is a firm believer in lifelong learning and equitable education.

In addition to teaching and research, Eunice is also the Managing Partner in an independent consultancy specializing in education, training and communications in the region. Prior to this she held positions as subject matter expert and academic head for tourism and hospitality at private education institutions in Singapore. Eunice has over two decades of diverse industry experience in the tourism, hospitality, education and service sectors. An avid traveler with an enthusiasm for overseas volunteer projects, Eunice has lived and worked in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. With her diverse background, her areas of specialization are similarly amalgamated. A passionate environmentalist and budding conservationist, her research interests include sustainable tourism, tourism education and interpretation, volunteer tourism, and cultural, heritage and culinary tourism.
