Singapore is ageing rapidly and the projection for people aged 65 and above is expected to more than double in the next 2 decades from 12% in 2015 to 27% in 2025! That’s a monumental increase! VWO’s such as O’Joy Care Services have been working diligently to innovate in the domain of healthy ageing.
So, let’s put on our thinking caps during this 1-day workshop to hear, learn and share experiences with stakeholders from NPOs & VWOs.
Dr Heather Douglas has a strong interest in psychometric assessment and has applied it to organisational psychology, cancer survivorship, and evaluating the contribution of aged care programs to maintaining older people at home. Heather’s postdoctoral work at the Australian Institute for Health Innovation (AIHI) included investigating the cognitive variables impacting physician’s ability to multi-task and handle interruptions at work, the impact of ICT on the process of information exchange in an Australian community aged care setting and the impact of social participation on quality of life in older adults living in the community.
