Amy Lim, Ph.D., is Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Discipline Lead in Psychology at Murdoch University, Singapore. Her research centers on evolutionary psychology, with a particular interest in understanding modern social phenomena through the lens of evolutionary mismatches. She has published on the psychological effects of resource competition on life-history trade-offs and fertility-related decisions, and examines the implications of technology, including generative AI, for social behavior and attitudes. She has also applied evolutionary frameworks to contemporary issues such as misinformation and sustainability. Her work has attracted media attention, and she actively contributes to translating academic research into public discourse.
